Skin
There is something uncanny about skin and how it covers the body. It’s visceral, tactile, and alive. It is seductive, elusive, and often supple. It can be attractive as well as repulsive. I am drawn to making work about the body and has been the focus of my subject matter for several years. Returning to the pottery format was essential for the work to express its relationship to the body, containment, corporeality, and testament to beauty.
